Many other members of the Scream family are reaching out with their kind thoughts about Craven.

"Our lives would not be what they are without having worked with Wes," Neve Campbell, who starred in the iconic Scream movies, wrote in THR. "The love and passion came from the top, and it shines through in the quality of his work. He was a true innovator."

Craven, 76, best known for creating the hugely famous and influential Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street franchises, died on Sunday in Los Angeles after battling brain cancer.
