This seems like a questionable decision...

When dealing with bankruptcy, why not go build a house on another continent? That seems like a strange plan, but it's exactly what Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson decided to do.

The rapper posted an Instagram video on Saturday showing off the backyard of his new mansion.

"My crib is almost finished in AFRICA," he captioned the video. "I'm gonna have the craziest House warming party ever. I'll explain later. I got a good life Man."

Do you know what would be even cooler? If 50 Cent explained his new digs to us right now.

The 40-year-old New York native filed for bankruptcy in July, reporting assets and debts between $10 and $50 million. The filing, which took place in Connecticut, was technically a protective move, as 50 Cent did so just days after a judge ordered him to pay a woman $5 million in damages for allegedly posting a sex tape online without her permission.

50 Cent spoke to ET the same week he filed for Chapter 11, and the "In Da Club" rapper didn't seem too worried about his situation.

"People love tragedy more than they love good news, no matter how you look at it," he said. "The news comes on, and it's 90 percent tragedy. I have faith in the court systems. I know at points you gotta just relax and go through the process."
