Sarah Jessica Parker Couldn't be Prouder of Her and Rihanna's Meme-Worthy Met Gala Looks

You know you're doing something right when your dress is one of the most talked-about of the night.
Sarah Jessica Parker did just that at this year's Met Gala in May, when even among her fellow A-listers hamming it up, she still managed to stand out with a dramatic Philip Treacy headpiece reminiscent of flames.
"My son was like, 'Mom, you're a meme.' I didn't know what a meme was!" she now recalls to Harper's Bazaar. "I never got far enough from the headpiece to get that it would be seen as flames. I would have an egg with her [Rihanna] anytime."
Clearly, the actress is still idolized for her fashion despite Sex and the City going off the air more than a decade ago, and Parker says she's still surprised by her level of fame to this day.
"My husband [Matthew Broderick] and I are genuinely surprised that we feel more public now than we have ever felt. It's social media," she shares. "Of course, when you work in TV or film, there is a familiarity, so you reconcile that. But the show has been off the air a long time now."
"You are not ever alone," she adds. "You are not ever, ever, ever, ever alone."
But when ET caught up with SJP in April to talk about her HBO comedy, Divorce, she did stress that she keeps her marriage to 53-year-old Broderick -- whos she's been married to since 1997 -- pretty private.
"I think marriage is wonderfully complicated and wonderfully interesting, and everybody conducts their marriage differently," Parker told ET. "We know almost nothing about people's marriage, because even those who we're most intimate with in friendships, we don't always share the good or the bad. And I just think that at a certain point, some people feel alone and lost."
