John Stamos is opening up about his recent rehab stint.
The 52-year-old actor checked into rehab
in July for substance abuse a few weeks after getting arrested
in Beverly Hills on suspicion of DUI. Stamos, who has since returned to work on his new Fox comedy Grandfathered
and Netflix’s Full House
revival, got candid with Details
about the past couple of months.
The actor admitted that he had to change the trajectory of his journey if he was going to be healthy and happy.
“You either continue on that path – and some of it’s fun, but a lot of it’s not – or there’s this other thing, this golden opportunity sitting there with all this work and all this goodwill that you have going for you,” he said.
“That’s the key. I feel better than I’ve felt in a decade,” Stamos added.
“I love him. We love him,” she told ET. “And if this is what he needs, to spend time to get things together, we’re all supportive and glad he’s there and know that things will be good when he comes back. I support him, and we’ll support him.”
In August, ET was on the Grandfathered set with Stamos, where he celebrated his 52nd birthday with baklava and a special performance of “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Richie Sambora.
