'And it's a boy!'
Dana Griffin-Graves and Arkell Graves' road to baby has been more than a little bumpy.
“After four miscarriages and one stillborn birth, we had given up on the idea of having babies of our own, especially at our age,” Dana writes of their 17-year struggle to start a family. “But God!”
Recently, Dana learned that not only is she pregnant, but she is five months pregnant and is due with a baby boy in February. So she decided to surprise Arkell.

Dana hid a bun in the oven -- get it? -- next to her first sonograms photos.
At first, Arkell seems a bit confused, but quickly puts the pieces together.
And even does an adorable little happy dance! Then the waterworks start...
It’s a sweet video on its own, but knowing their story makes it that much more emotional. You almost wish she hadn’t told him it was a boy yet. Then we could watch her surprise him again.

“It was definitely a struggle,” Dana told local WRIC News. “A roller coaster with emotions going back and forth. I got to the point where I was you know what, I want to stop trying.”
Dana says she recorded her husband’s reaction to share with family and only sent it to eight relatives. That is, until the Internet found it, and it has now been viewed more than a million times.
“I’ve never been that excited before in my life,” Arkell adds. “I mean, not mainly for myself, for her.”
