Dolly Parton Denies Stomach Cancer Report, Says She Had Kidney Stones Removed

Dolly Parton says there is "no truth" to National Enquirerreportthat claims she was diagnosed with stomach cancer.

The tabloid alleges that the 69-year-old country music icon was rushed to the hospital, but in a statement posted to Parton's website, she reveals what really happened.

"It is true that I had kidney stones," she said. "I had them removed three weeks ago and I am doing just fine!"

Not missing an opportunity to promote her latest project, Parton added, "I am back to work and last week I was at Dollywood filming parts for my new movie Coat of Many Colors."

"I love and appreciate everyone's concern," the singer told her fans.

In September, Eagles star Don Henley sparked speculation about Parton's health when he said she "got out of the hospital bed" to shoot his music video for "When I Stop Dreaming."

Henley told Nashville's WKRN that Parton filmed for hours and thanked everyone on set. Afterward, "I guess [she] went back to the hospital," the rocker said.
