Dr. Phil will appear as himself on an upcoming episode of the CW comedy as a figment of Rebecca's (Rachel Bloom) imagination, ETonline exclusively reveals.

In the seventh episode, which airs Nov. 23, Rebecca's bad day causes her to hallucinate a conversation with the TV host, and Dr. Phil will bring his trademark wit and no-nonsense point of view to guide her on a journey to happiness.

ET was on the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend set when Dr. Phil was filming his guest spot, and he spilled a little more about his role from a psychological point-of-view.

"They’re actually focusing on the fact that she is losing it," he explained. "So she's dealing with depression, anxiety. She's afraid she's schizophrenic. She's hallucinating stuff, so she's seeing me in her hallucinations and I'm talking to her."

The mental heath professional even spilled his professional opinion when we asked if Rebecca is just "a little bit" crazy for moving cross country for a crush.

"A little would be not quite covering it," he laughed. "I mean, come on, she's left her life to go chase somebody that knows where she is. If he wanted to be with her, he totally knows where to find her."

And, of course, we had to find out if Dr. Phil will also be taking part in one of the series' over-the-top musical performances.

"No, I will not be singing or dancing. You do not want that in your ears," he admitted. "You put me in a singing and dancing [number], and that's five minutes of your life you'll never get back and wish you could."
