It was an emotional night for Kathie Lee Gifford and her two children
, Cassidy, 22 and Cody, 25, as the Today
co-host and her late husband
, Frank Gifford, were both inducted into the Broadcast and Cable Hall of Fame on Tuesday.
Kathie Lee, 63, teared up while remembering Frank, saying, "I am truly the most blessed woman on the Earth. I had 29 years with my incredible husband."
Cassidy and Cody accepted Frank's award on his behalf, where they gave a touching message to their mother.
"Above all, he'd want me to tell you how proud he is of you, Mom," said Cody, who continued, "He told me to tell you congratulations, and well deserved, and that he loves you even now, and more than ever."
Kathie Lee, who was touched by the moment, revealed to ET backstage that Frank would have loved to have shared this night with his family.
"More than anything," she said of Frank, "he'd be thrilled that my children, our children, are here and that they are just the two nicest human beings you would ever meet in your life."
Frank died at age 84 on Aug. 9 in Greenwich, Connecticut.
"We rejoice in the extraordinary life he was privileged to live, and we feel grateful and blessed to have been loved by such an amazing human being," the family said in a statement to ET at the time. "We ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time and we thank you for your prayers."
A month after his death, Cassidy posted a touching remembrance on Instagram, writing, "Mr. Poe, you said it right....'Never to suffer would have never to been blessed.'"
Despite growing up with famous parents, it's always been important for Cassidy to forge her own path.
"It's important for me to have my career completely compartmentalized and separated from my mom's," she told ET in July. "It's hard because 90 percent of the time there's a preconceived notion about me going in for an audition, or anything, whatever it is. But at the end of the day, she's a mom and she wants to share in the experiences and be a part of it."
