Get ready for the musically-inclined brains of a country-western singer -- and we have the behind-the-scenes scoop of how it all came together.

Giddy up, iZombie fans!

On tonight's all-new episode of our favorite undead crime dramedy, Liv is in for a tasty Southern treat: the musically-inclined brains of a country-western singer -- and we have the behind-the-scenes scoop of how it all came together.

"I love singing myself," star Rose McIver spilled during a recent visit to the show’s Vancouver set. "I've kind of always sung bits and pieces and a few times for bands, or for people's music, or whatever, but I haven't done it very seriously or with any diligence."

But, just as we'd expect, McIver is absolutely sensational in her new cerebellum-fueled character -- and you can watch the video above to hear her perfect pipes for yourself.

"It was a little nerve-wracking singing as Liv," McIver admitted. "There's something about the vulnerability of when you're actually singing and then putting on a character and then meshing those two was usual for me."

Executive producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright promised that if you "weren't already madly in love with [Rose] before," you certainly will be after tonight's hour.

"Rose knocked it out of the park," the showrunner spilled. "It's just ridiculous. It's fun to see her playing this sassy southern lady and singing. It's almost annoying how good she is at everything we have her do."

McIver revealed that she is enormously grateful to play a part that allows her to "dabble" in so many different skills. "The great thing about this job is just being able to kind of pick something up again for a couple of weeks," she said. "It was not something I had done so it was a good opportunity."

iZombie airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the CW.
