Remember people, tattoos are forever -- so, if you're going to get one, make sure it's one that you can be happy with years later. Or, in Blac Chyna's case, two days later.

The 27-year-old debuted an Instagram of her new tattoo on Sunday, which was simply the word "Future" written in cursive on her hand. The post has since been deleted.

While it might have been an inspirational message, it happens to also be the name of her rumored boyfriend.

However, according to the rapper Future himself, rumors that he's dating Blac Chyna aren't true.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Future shot down reports that the two had been going out for several weeks, writing, "Single & focusing on what makes me happy."

"Satisfying my fans with great vibes& waves consistently is the Turnup..winning," Future added in a following tweet.

Finally, after addressing the speculation, Future than stressed that he doesn't like addressing speculation, tweeting, "U kno I dnt f**k wit no rumors."

It's unclear if Future's comments about being single are true, or if the couple is simply trying to stay out of the spotlight. After all, there has already been a lot of drama surrounding the rumored relationship.

Blac Chyna posted the pic of her new tattoo on singer Ciara's birthday, which was curious timing as Ciara was once engaged to Future and the two share a son together -- 1-year-old Future Zahir Wilburn. Ciara is currently dating Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, and Future has been vocal about his opposition to seeing Wilson spend time with his son and ex.

Meanwhile Blac Chyna shares her 3-year-old son King Cairo with her ex-boyfriend, 25-year-old rapper Tyga. Currently, Tyga is dating 18-year-old Kylie Jenner. Blac Chyna's friend Amber Rose famously mocked Kylie and Tyga's relationship, leading to a feud between Rose and Jenner's half-sister Khloe Kardashian.

Taking all that into consideration, maybe a tattoo of someone's name isn't all that dramatic after all.

Future and Blac Chyna's dating rumors surfaced earlier this month, when she was spotted on the set of his music video for "Stick Talk."
