Jamie Foxx's 21-year-old daughter, Corinne Foxx, was honored with the title of Miss Golden Globe on Tuesday -- meaning she'll be responsible for handing out the statuettes when Ricky Gervais hosts the 73rd annual awards ceremony in January.

ET caught up with Jamie at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association celebration where the announcement was made, and the 47-year-old Oscar winner couldn't have been a prouder dad.

"Man, I'm over the moon, man!" Jamie beamed. "People don't understand, my daughter's always been cool… ain't never ask me for nothing."

"I feel proud about [the honor], and whatever she does I always support but I'm, absolutely just blown away," Jamie added, as he began to get choked up. "I cry easy but this, uh, this is a moment, man."

Jamie was exuberant after his daughter received the honor -- which is often bestowed upon the children of celebrities -- and said that this is the perfect launching pad for Corinne's career in the entertainment industry.

"She's been around the business but not all the way in it," Jamie shared. "This is a perfect time now for her to be in it in the right way, and everybody's happy."

The proud dad can't wait to be by his daughter's side on the big night, and says he'll do whatever he needs to in order to share that exciting moment with her.

"[I'll do] anything I got to do, man. I'll be the valet, be the chauffeur, whatever I got to do," Jamie said. "That's my baby girl, man!"
