Miley Cyrus turned 23 on Monday, and her proud papa Billy Ray sent his daughter a sweet birthday message with an adorable throwback pic.
“Happy birthday @MileyCyrus!” Billy Ray captioned a photo from his infamous days as a mullet-sporting rock star, holding his baby girl. “You've already had such an incredible year and I know that 2016 is gonna be even bigger!!!!! #HappyBirthdayMiley.”

Billy Ray later posted a pic of the whole Cyrus family celebrating Miley’s hosting gig at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards in August.

The musical family has an adorable history of social media birthday wishes. Earlier this year, Miley posted a pic of the Cyrus gang celebrating Billy Ray’s 54th birthday.
“Dadaz birffffday brought a bunch of freaxxx togethhhha!!!!! ?????,” Miley wrote on an Instagram pic, which loosely translates to an explanation of how she, mom Trish, and siblings Trace, Braison, and Noah gathered to celebrate her father’s big day.
She also posted a pic of the vegan birthday cake she made her dad, which was as wildly decorated as most of her onstage looks.
