This makes us happier than bacon.
Surely you remember Bernard “Beans” Aranguren from the seminal 1999 – 2003 Disney Channel series, Even Stevens? He was the annoying neighbor that was always getting in Louis’ way and loved, loved, loved, bacon?
Here’s what Beans aka actor Steven Anthony Lawrence looks like now:
Earlier this year, the 25-year-old told Huffington Post that it is “really weird” that people still recognize him as Beans. “I feel like I’ve changed so much when I look in the mirror,” he said. “But I’ll be walking down the street and people drive by for two seconds and automatically they’ll go, ‘Oh, my God! You’re Beans! Ahhh!’ God, even I would have to at least do a double-take.”
While fellow Even Stevens alum Shia LaBeouf has been busy getting arrested and staging rather, err, interesting performance arts pieces, Lawrence works as Santa’s helper at the Sunvalley Shopping Center in Concord, California!
And it’s safe to say people DEFINITELY still recognize him!
Lawrence still acts and his IMDb page says he's set to appear in Holly, Jingles and Clyde 3D, about two "bumbling" elves who team up with Santa's daughter to try to help a family in danger of losing their Christmas-tree farm, so some have wondered if he is going method, just like LaBeouf!
Either way, once word got out about his gig, fans have been flocking to the mall to get their own selfie with Beans, and he seems to be having a good time with it.
If Instagram captions are to be believed, he’s making dreams come true!
Yes, finally had the chance to take a picture with him! I've been coming here after school just to catch him. I was so shy, I didn't even get the chance to tell him that he was the one who made me realize my love for bacon 🐖 (sad that there isn't and emoji for bacon) #Beans #BenardAranguren #EvenStevens #Disney #StevenAnthonyLawrence
Which is certainly more than that mall Santa can say.
Now, watch LaBeouf open up about his jail time to Ellen:
