Simon Cowell's London home was burglarized on Friday, his rep confirmed to ET.

The X Factor
judge, 56, his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, 38, and the couple's 22-month-old son, Eric, were inside the pad when the incident occurred. "

According to an eyewitness, the burglary happened very early in the morning when Cowell and his family were asleep. No one was hurt. "Apart from the fact someone broke into my house and stole my stuff, which is scary, it could have been worse," Cowell said outside of his mansion.

The suspects reportedly took off with cash and jewelry before cops arrived at the scene.

Later that day, Cowell still attended rehearsals for The X Factor UK finale.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Cowell has been a victim of a break-in at that same house. In 2012, a woman reportedly was found hiding in the 56-year-old's walk-in-closet armed with a brick.

In happier news, Cowell is returning to TV in the U.S.! He is gearing up to judge season 11 of America's Got Talent, replacing Howard Stern on the NBC competition show. Watch the video below to hear more.
