Ava DuVernay is officially a Barbie girl!
The Oscar-nominated Selma director and Mattel announced via Twitter on Sunday that a Barbie modeled after the filmmaker goes on sale today.
"We're so excited to share that the @AVAETC #Barbie doll will be available tomorrow! Check back here for more details on how to get your doll," the toy brand tweeted out.
"Tomorrow this #AvaBarbie goes on sale for Christmas because enough folks asked @Mattel to do so. Wild + wonderful," DuVernay wrote.
Following Variety magazine's Power of Women Luncheon earlier this year, Mattel released one-of-kind dolls of a few female celebs including Kristen Chenoweth, Eva Chen and DuVernay.
DuVernay version was so well-received, the company decided to release it to be sold in stores.
News of the lastest Barbie has caught the attention of many, including actress Kerry Washington, who responded "AWESOME" to a tweet about its release.
DuVernay's doll follows the recent release of one created in Zendaya's likeness, and the singer spoke to ET about her excitement.
"I think it's definitely time to have a Barbie like this," the Disney star explained. "It's opening doors for a lot of women, women of color, of all different backgrounds. I think that's really, really exciting."
