Carrie Underwood Debuts Gorgeous Short Hair at the Grand Ole Opry

The singer is the latest to join a new trend of shorter 'dos.

When it comes to Carrie Underwood's style, she can do no wrong.

The 32-year-old showed off a new haircut in a gorgeous selfie, snapped backstage before her performance at the Grand Ole Opry. Underwood looked ultra-glam for the show, with dramatic eye makeup and a pink lip, while her shoulder-grazing blonde tresses were curled in soft waves.

"Backstage @Opry selfie!" Underwood captioned the pic. "I love being at the Ryman! There's just something so special about this place..."

There must be something in the water (pun intended) in Nashville, Tennessee. Underwood is the latest to join what appears to be a growing trend, with Nashville stars Clare Bowen and Hayden Panettiere both chopping their signature long locks in recent weeks. Soon after her divorce, Underwood’s pal Miranda Lambert also opted for a shorter, blonder 'do this past August.

What do you think of Underwood's new look?

At the American Music Awards last month in Los Angeles, California, the superstar gushed to ET about motherhood -- and the impact baby Isaiah has had on her pre-show beauty routine.

"We have to allow more time for getting ready that's for sure because he is there and you stop and you acknowledge him and love on him and if he wants you to pick him up, you pick him up," she said of her baby boy. "So, sometimes it makes getting ready take a little bit longer."
