Rita Wilson Opens Up About Being Cancer Free: 'I'm 100% Healthy!'

Tom Hanks' wife is now ready to get out on the road and share her music.

Rita Wilson is happy, healthy and ready to get back at it!

Donning a trendy all-black outfit, the 59-year-old actress was happy to confirm at The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Breakfast that she is "cancer free."

"I'm 100 percent healthy," she exclaimed (via People).

In March, Wilson announced that she would be taking some time off from performing in Larry David's Broadway play, Fish in the Dark, after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent a double mastectomy returned to the stage a month later. "I am overwhelmed with gratitude by your prayers and good wishes and the kindness you're sending," she tweeted to her supporters in April. "Thank you. Thank you."

When ET spoke with Wilson's stepson Colin Hanks in May, he revealed that the actress was indeed on the up and up. "She's cancer-free, which is great," he shared.

The Life in Pieces star was also excited about his stepmom's return to Broadway, saying she "is absolutely slaying them every night over at Fish in the Dark."

When ET caught up Tom Hanks, Wilson's husband of 27 years, in November, he gushed over his wife. "When we first looked at each other there was definitely a kind of (pointing to camera), 'Hey, this is the place!' I felt that anyway,” he said. “I think the end result is that we got married for all the right reasons.”

The 59-year-old actor added that he's grateful for all the support Wilson received after revealing her cancer diagnosis. "God bless the luck of the draw," he said, "And the people who have been in her corner."
