Emma Roberts' dream of being an Allure magazine cover girl has come true!

Wearing a sheer lace Gucci top, the 24-year-old actress graces the cover of the beauty mag's January 2016 issue, and in her interview, she couldn't help but express her excitement over the photo shoot with famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier.

"I've wanted to be on the cover since I was a little girl," she revealed. "I remember seeing all the actresses I'd admired on it, even my Aunt [Julia Roberts] on it. I just remember thinking, 'Oh, I'd love to be on that cover one day.' So it's been a dream."

"Patrick actually shot me for my Teen Vogue cover when I was 16," she added. "So when I found out he was going to be shooting my Allure cover, I was so excited. He's such a legend and I'm such a fan of his work."

Inside the mag, Roberts shows off her sweet side (and toned legs!) in a cozy white wool sweater by Chloé, and again in a cotton tweed top and shorts by Dior.

She says she hasn't always considered herself a fashionista, however, as there are a handful of looks she definitely doesn't plan on repeating anytime soon.

"I remember I begged my mom to get a spray tan for [the Teen Choice Awards in 2005] because I always got made fun of in school for being pale," she said in a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot. "Now I see those pictures and I'm like, 'I look like I have a spray tan.' But at the time I thought I looked so good!"

"My hair was way too dark," she comments on another throwback photo of herself, from the 2010 Teen Choice Awards. "I don't like my hair that dark because I'm too pale and I end up looking like the Addams family."
