Nicki Minaj has got a lot of praise!
The rapper has announced the cast for Nicki, the upcoming ABC Family (soon to be called Freeform) scripted comedy series loosely based on the 33-year-old singer's life before becoming a pop star, and she seemed particularly excited about Ariana Neal.
Minaj shared on Instagram that the Fruitvale Station actress, who plays the titular role in the new show, brought her to tears!
"I literally cried watching her taped audition. I demanded to meet her," Minaj wrote.
I literally cried watching her taped audition. I demanded to meet her! Sat in a room with her teaching her how to rap by doing a beat on the table & forcing her to stay on beat! Lol. Then pulled out all the attitude she had in her lil body. Haha! She's tough! And so sweet & cute. #ArianaNeal #LilNicki Welcome to the family lil lady bug! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 #ABCFamily #Freeform #Nicki
