It turns out, everyone's teenage years were painfully awkward.
After watching Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's steamy new romance play out in PDA-filled Instagram pics over the past few weeks, you'd never imagine that the two young stars were anything other than suave and sexy.
However, there's now an adorable Vine video of Justin and Hailey meeting for the first time in 2009, and it just proves that everyone's teenage years are filled with painfully awkward and socially embarrassing moments.
In the short clip, a shaggy-haired Justin is introduced to the model by her father, actor Stephen Baldwin. The "Baby" singer throws on the charm with a flip of his then-iconic hair, and a disinterested, cross-armed Hailey responds with a weak handshake and a quiet "nice to meet you."

The scene is a far cry from the pics the 21-year-old "Sorry" singer and his 19-year-old girlfriend have been posting since last month.
The short, hilarious clip was brought to Bieber's attention on Twitter, and even he couldn't ignore how epic the awkwardness really was. "Haha. Amazing," he tweeted.
