Brie Larson Reveals the Golden Globes Advice She Got From 'Mentor' Emma Stone

"I feel like I’m in a dream," Brie Larson said on the Golden Globes red carpet.

Thankfully, the Room star and Best Actress nominee got advice on navigating the evening from one of her best friends -- who just happens to be an award season vet and two-time Globe nominee herself.

"Emma Stone was kind of my mentor through this," the 26-year-old actress told Nancy O’Dell. "I’ve been texting with her and talking with her through this whole thing, and she just kept saying to me, ‘You’re inside the TV!’ Now that I’m here, I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, you are inside the TV!’ I’ve watched this every year since I could watch TV."

Larson, who donned custom Calvin Klein Collection for the big night, went on to tell us another valuable lesson that Stone gave her: “She told me to wash my hands a lot, so I don’t get pink eye,” she told ET.

“It’s actually a very good [tip] you don’t think about it,” she continued, revealing the trendiest award season must-have: “Hand sanitizer.”
