With a body like Jennifer Aniston's, it's no secret that she has to eat healthy.

The 46-year-old actress recently spoke to Yahoo Food and dished about everything from her everyday diet, to what she loves to cook with her husband, Justin Theroux. Not surprisingly, the two super slim stars can find a way to make pretty much any comfort dish healthy.

Case in point? Italian food.

NEWS: Jennifer Aniston Is Working on a Cookbook!

"Justin and I both love to tinker in the kitchen," Aniston said. "We make a pasta carbonara that's so easy. We have eggs from our chickens [the couple owns a chicken coop they inherited with their property], and then we make it 'skinny style' where we use turkey bacon instead of real bacon, eggs, and parmesan. No oil, butter or creams. And we use pasta water to make it juicier."

Their signature dishes are also apparently a big hit with their famous friends.

"When there's a big group, we do a vegetable lasagna," she continued. "You have zucchini, eggplant that acts as a paste, and you layer it with different cheeses and put it in the oven. That's an easy group meal, and easy viewing party food. Pizza is usually a fun one, too, and everyone can participate and make their own pizzas. And I have a candy jar that people devour."

In June, Selena Gomez dished about making pizza at Aniston's swanky home during a radio interview with KTU's Carolina Bermudez. "She has a pizza oven," Gomez said about her admitted idol. "Like, we've made pizzas at her house. She's very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of, like, maternal advice."

Clearly, Aniston has plenty of discipline when it comes to her own diet. Her healthy refrigerator staples include raw vegetables, hard-boiled eggs, a big head of butter lettuce, and protein, such as pulled chicken.

"I don't let eating habits get out of control where I need a reset button," she explained. "My general philosophy is to eat healthy. It’s pretty clear: eat as much organic fruits and veggies as you can, keep sugar [intake] low, drink tons and tons of water, and get good sleep."

"I allow myself to indulge once in a while," she added. "I'm good at keeping my starches to a minimum. I don't like 'white'foods, and I'll always cut back on some breads if I’m trying to slim down for something special. But I don't give myself any rules anymore."

Still, even Aniston isn't immune to fad diets. The actress admitted to trying the Grapefruit Diet as well as Nutrisystem, which she said she tried 20 years ago.

"That actually worked," she said about the popular meal plan service. "It just happens to be astronaut food, but it still worked."
