Anna Faris interviewed her husband Chris Pratt, and his on-screen love interests, Jennifer Lawrence and Aubrey Plaza, on her podcast on Tuesday, grilling them on everything from hair care in space to seeing her husband naked.
Pratt and Lawrence called in from the set of their upcoming space film Passengers, and joined Faris and Plaza on the Mom star’s podcast, Anna Faris is Unqualified, which she co-hosts with producer Sim Sarna.
“What other guy in the world could say that he’s on the phone with Anna, my real wife; Aubrey, my TV wife; and [to Lawrence] well, we’re not married in this movie,” Pratt said.
Faris posed a series of rapid fire questions to both actresses, including what they’d name a school mascot (Plaza: The Sea Hags, Laurence: The Pippies, after her dog) and the music album that they’re embarrassed to admit loving.
“I just said to Chris the other day that I wish I didn’t have so much Indigo Girls on my phone,” Lawrence admitted. “I’m not embarrassed about the Indigo Girls, it’s just really overwhelming my iTunes.”
Pratt then chimed in with a truly embarrassing music confession.
After a discussion about Star Wars (which Lawrence says she “totally bro’d out” to in the theater), Faris asked about hair care in space, wondering if Lawrence’s character’s roots grow out during Passengers, in which she and Pratt play voyagers who wake up early from cryogenic sleep during a long voyage through outer space.
“My roots don’t grow out in the movie,” the actress answered. “I’m just a real, genuine bleach blonde.”
Faris didn’t ask Lawrence about her love scene with Pratt in the film-- which the actress has previously said made her feel “anxious” and “vulnerable” -- but she did talk to Plaza about the awkwardness of being asked about watching her husband onscreen with other women.
“I feel like it’s only really weird when other people think that it’s really weird,” Faris said. “Then I get nervous and I’m like, ‘Wait, am I supposed to feel like it’s more weird than it is?’”
“Yeah, I’m in a relationship, and people always ask my boyfriend how he feels,” Plaza agreed. “He’s kind of like, ‘That’s her job, and it’s not weird.’ I think if you don’t understand that, then it’s probably hard to be in a relationship with someone that’s an actor.”
