You're gonna have to wait for Episode VIII.
The Walt Disney Studios announced on Wednesday that the follow-up to the massively successful Star Wars: The Force Awakens -- which is being written and directed by Rian Johnson -- will now premiere on Dec. 15, 2017, nearly six months after the film's originally planned Memorial Day release date. Disney now plans to release Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales that weekend instead.
With the move, Disney is looking to make Star Wars something of a Christmas tradition. This December, the studio is releasing Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a spin-off in which a Rebel force plots to steal plans for the Death Star.
To date, The Force Awakens has earned an astonishing $1.8 billion (Watch your back, Avatar.) and broken basically all the records ever. (Watch your back, Avatar.)
Meanwhile, did you know one of the stars of the movie, John Boyega, used to be a model?
