Joseph Gordon-Levitt Named Hasty Pudding's Man of the Year
Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals have made their selection for their 2016 Man of the Year award, and they picked a good one!
HitRECord star Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be honored by the legendary social club as “a performer who is not only a talented actor but also a visionary entrepreneur who developed a revolutionary platform for artistic content creation and distribution.”
"No emoji can express how excited we are about having Joseph Gordon-Levitt as our 50th Man of the Year," said Bobby Fitzpatrick, president of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals, in a release. "We anxiously await Mr. Gordon-Levitt's arrival, as he begins his slow journey to the Hasty Pudding Theatricals on a small rope from LA to Cambridge."

It was announced on Jan. 6 that Scandal star Kerry Washington will also be honored as the club’s 2016 Woman of the Year.
Gordon-Levitt will be feted in Harvard Square on Feb. 5, with a celebratory roast and the presentation of his “Pudding Pot” at Farkas Hall, the Hasty Pudding’s home since 1888. Washington will receive a similar celebration on Jan. 28.
"Perusing the impressive list of past Hasty Pudding Men Of The Year, I'm simultaneously struck with intense delusions of grandeur and mild waves of humility," Gordon-Levitt, 34, said of the honor.

The Hasty Pudding’s Man of the Year celebrations are always interesting, to say the least. Check out this pic of last year’s honoree, Chris Pratt, donning a dinosaur bra, and accepting a smooch from a poodle in a three-point hat.
