EXCLUSIVE: Sarah Paulson Got a 'Thumbs Up' From Girlfriend Holland Taylor for 'American Crime Story' Role

Holland Taylor is standing by her woman!

Sarah Paulson told ET that her 73-year-old girlfriend fully supported her role as prosecutor Marcia Clark in American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson. "Holland Taylor gave me a review. She seemed to think it was a thumbs up," the 41-year-old actress gushed. "She might be a bit biased."

Paulson admitted that she was super devoted to doing justice to the part. "I don't consider myself a method actress at all but I was wearing [Clark's] perfume and watching her videos as much as possible."

And this wasn't just any perfume. Paulson had to get a "mutual friend" of her and Clark's to text the attorney and inquired about the fragrance. "I actually researched it because apparently the perfume had actually been under many relations," she explained. "I was looking for the one that was in the mid '90s and I found it on eBay."

Paulson is getting great reviews for her upcoming role, leading some to wonder if this will be her year to finally take home an Emmy. "Here's hoping!" the four-time nominee exclaimed. "I mean, I'd love to get one someday."
