Like in real life, one Hangover would have been more than enough.

Zach Galifianakis
would have been cool with just one Hangover.

The 46-year-old comedian appeared on Marc Maron's WTF podcast this week to promote his new FX series, Baskets, where he spoke candidly about the popular movie trilogy that both broke him through as a major box office star and... is widely remembered for its two critically lackluster sequels.

"That was a chunk of my life that I do not regret at all," he said. Still, "I wish we had just done one."

"I think leave well enough alone sometimes," the actor added.

But don't take that to mean he would never consider revisiting the role, should his career ever get to that point.

"In 10 years, when this all dries up, I’m sure I’ll be knocking on people’s doors," Galifianakis joked, playfully noting that he was "contracted up to 12" Hangover movies.

You can catch Baskets on Thursdays at 10 p.m. on FX.

Meanwhile, one thing we definitely WOULD like a sequel of is Galifianakis' show-stealing set at Bonnaroo with Jon Hamm.
