Ratings for GRAMMYs 2016 Down Slightly Despite Show-Stopping Moments

The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards was filled with epic Kanye West speech slams, guitar-throwing tantrums, and sexy surprise performances, but music's biggest night fell short in the ratings.
But not by much, and it easily took the top spot for the evening.
The show, which aired on a Monday (as opposed to 2015's Sunday broadcast) and ran live on both coasts, pulled in 24.82 million viewers, while last year's show had a viewership of 25.3 million.
Despite the fact that last night's telecast was the first time since 2010 that the GRAMMYs delivered an audience less than 24 million, the awards show can still take comfort in knowing that it remains the second highest-rated show after the Oscars.
