Tina Fey might not have gotten the special moment she had hoped for with Caitlyn Jenner at the Vanity Fair Oscars party, but the that doesn't mean she went unnoticed.
The Whiskey Tango Foxtrot actress made an appearance on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show earlier this week and claimed that the former Olympian didn't acknowledge her at the shindig, despite her best efforts to "make eye contact."
"I was trying so hard to have a moment with her. I was trying to make eye contact. I was like, 'Caitlyn Jenner!'" Fey recalled. "She was not having me. Not on purpose, but she had just come in and you could tell she was like, 'I am the biggest deal in here, and who wants to know it?' And she looked fantastic."
The I Am Cait star has since taken to Instagram to apologize for not noticing Fey.
"Tina, sorry I missed you at the Vanity Fair party. I can't believe I missed my favorite funny girl. We have to get together," she wrote on a photo of herself watching Fey on Live With Kelly & Michael.
The comedian's interaction with Jenner -- or lack thereof -- wasn't the only thing she recalled from the Vanity Fair party.
"I'm such small potatoes at that thing," Fey claimed. "It's a crazy party when you look around and you're like, 'Here's someone normal I can talk to. Selena Gomez.' ... She's a nice girl. We share a makeup artist sometimes, that's why we look so much alike."
Although, she revealed she didn't even dare bring up Justin Bieber.
Although Fey seems to discredit what a big deal she is, Jennifer Garner recently raved about her hilarious work. To see how the comedian responded, watch the video below.
