It's hard to believe it's been nearly two decades since Buffy, Angel, Xander, Willow and crew stole our hearts, but thanks to Gellar, fans were reminded of why we fell in love with the Joss Whedon-created supernatural series in the first place.

"19 years ago tonight, I got to introduce you to #buffyannesummers (and #mrpointy too)," she captioned the snap. "Thank you for taking the incredible journey with me and continuing still. I am and forever will be #grateful."

NEWS: A 'Cruel Intentions' Follow-Up Is Coming to TV!

Gellar's Buffy post isn't the only way she's making her fans feel nostalgic, however. The actress is currently gearing up for NBC's Cruel Intentions TV reboot, in which she'll reprise her role as the seductive, deceiving Kathryn Merteuil, the part she made famous in the 1999 film of the same name.

In preparation, she's already dyed her blonde locks back to brown!

"#brownhairdontcare (actually kind of love it!!)," she captioned a pic of her darker tresses on Instagram earlier this month. "Thank you everyone @andylecomptesalon."

She also shared a photo of the script from the show's pilot episode, writing, "How I am spending the 17 anniversary of the release of #cruelintentions #Crueltv."
