"I'm not engaged yet," Minaj tells Nylon magazine about taking the next step with her boyfriend, rapper Meek Mill. "He said that my third ring would be my engagement ring. But sometimes he calls me his fiancee, and I'm always trying to stop him, like, 'Nope! I ain't got that third ring yet!'"
Nicki says if she does tie the knot, she's definitely having a child.
"We're just taking it one step at a time," Minaj, 33, says. "And, you know, if that happens, if I get married, then I'll have a child, and that'll be fun, because I can't wait to hold my baby."
Although marriage is still up in the air for the "Anaconda" rapper, she couldn't be happier in her relationship. Minaj praises her beau for being "a secure-enough man" to appreciate her outspoken attitude.
"When he and I were just friends, he would always say, 'You remind me of my mother, and I like that because you're like a dude. You're tough like a guy and you talk like a dude,'" she shares. "So I always got the sense that me being tough and bossy was a turn-on for him. And it's important for me to keep my voice. Being in a relationship shouldn't mean that you lose your voice. Being in a relationship should mean that you've met a secure-enough man to allow you, in a sense, to remain a queen."
Her new album will reflect her current state of bliss.
"I needed time to hear myself think again, because where I left off with The Pinkprint was a little bit emotionally unstable," she admits. "Now, I want my happiness to be reflected in the new stuff."
News broke early last year that Minaj and Meek Mill, 28, were dating, after she split from her longtime boyfriend, Safaree Samuels. As of last December, the "All Eyes on You" rapper had already given Minaj two rings -- a massive diamond ring for her birthday, and a yellow heart-shaped ring last April.
.... Judging by the size of these rings, we can only imagine what a third ring -- which Minaj has said multiple times will be the engagement one -- will look like!
Though Minaj still has plenty to do before settling down. The rapper is furthering her acting career with her role in Barbershop: The Next Cut, out in April.
"I wanted there to be a little bit of depth to Draya," Minaj tells Nylon about her character. "I didn't want her just to be, you know, an Instagram thot; I wanted her to have some sort of purpose and meaning."
... Which apparently doesn't involve twerking. Minaj tells the magazine why she refused to do a twerking scene in the film.
"Not every sexy woman is out here twerking all damn day," she laughs.
ET caught up with Minaj in April 2014 while she was promoting the star-studded comedy, The Other Woman, when she revealed whether or not she has ever been "the other woman" in a relationship.
