Bruce Springsteen truly is The Boss.

The Jersey rocker is known for putting on epically long concerts, and his sold-out show at the Los Angeles Sports Arena on Tuesday night was no different.

Fully aware of this wonderful service the singer provides for his fans (and humanity), Scott Glovsky and his 9-year-old son, Xabi, brought a sign with them that read, "Bruce, I will be late to school tomorrow. Please sign my note :)."

And Springsteen did just that!

"Dear Ms. Jackson," the 66-year-old singer's note read. "Xabi has been out very late rocking and rolling. Please excuse him if he is tardy!"

Glovsky shared photos of the unique autograph and his son posing with Springsteen backstage.

Springsteen appeared to bring touches of his home state to California. The backdrop of that very summery room is presumably a shot of one of the beaches at the Jersey Shore, where the rock legend is famously from, and Xabi is sitting near a pillow featuring the face of Asbury Park, New Jersey's grinning icon, Tillie.

Glovsky told Springsteen's fan magazine, Backstreets, all about the experience, explaining that the "Dancing in the Dark" singer pointed to the pair from the stage and then to his security crew after spotting the sign. A few minutes later, they were escorted from their seats to the backstage area by security.

"Although there were many musicians and celebrities at the concert, we were the first people to see Bruce after the show," Glovsky told the mag. "He said, 'There's the big guy!' to my son. It was just the three of us. He then said, 'I understand that you need a note, I think I can help you out.'"

"As Xabi sat next to him on the couch, Bruce thoughtfully and artistically created this beautiful note," the proud father continued. "It was very interesting to watch the artist at work. They talked for a few minutes, and Bruce was incredibly nice, caring and gracious."

The doting dad has been a Springsteen fan for more than thirty years and said "it was a very special night for me," but, even more importantly, "Bruce made a little boy's wishes come true."

The set, by the way, lasted a whopping three-and-a-half hours. Thank goodness for that note!

Earlier this month, Springsteen made another fan's day when he invited 91-year-old Jeannie Heintz on stage during his gig in St. Paul, Minnesota. Watch the adorable video below.
