Adam Levine Tells Fans He Ate Cake Alone on His Birthday, Says It Might Have Been 'the Best' One Ever

Adam Levine is comfortable being on his own.

The handsome Voice coach turned 37 years old on Friday, and celebrated the occasion by eating cake by himself. Though despite how it sounds, the experience was far from depressing.

"For my birthday yesterday, I sat in bed all day with the shades drawn eating this cake completely alone," Levine captioned an Instagram pic on Saturday of the delicious creation. "It might have been the best birthday I've ever had. I took time to reflect on so much and had a moment to genuinely appreciate the life that I have and the incredible people I have in it. I highly recommend taking at least one birthday in your life and keeping it to yourself. It f**kin RULED. And that cake was GOOD."

It's definitely an exciting time for Levine, given that he and his wife, Victoria's Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo, are expecting their first child together. The 26-year-old supermodel is more than three months along, a source confirmed to ET earlier this month.

Prinsloo recently took to Instagram to give a sweet birthday shout-out to her man, calling him the "love of her life." The two have been married since July 2014.

"Happy birthday to the love of my life!" Prinsloo captioned a pic of Levine giving her a piggyback ride. "Everything is boring and meaningless without you!!! #besthusband"

ET caught up with Prinsloo earlier this month, when she dished on their matching wedding tattoos.

"It's on my side," she exclusively told ET about her meaningful ink, which reads "you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool" in script. "It's not a new thing. We first got it together when we got married."
