ET confirms that Ellen Barkin is "back at work" after she reportedly choked and passed out while eating during a break from filming her upcoming TV series,   Animal Kingdom, on Tuesday.

"She was driven to the hospital just to make sure everything was OK and she was released shortly after being checked out," her rep said. "She is totally fine."

Barkin's TNT show, set to premiere later this year, comes just six years after the movie of the same name   earned its star, Jacki Weaver, an Oscar nomination. While the film was set in 1985 Melbourne, Australia, the family crime series will take place in Oceanside, California. Barkin takes on the role of Smurf, the matriarch of the Codys, a family with a definite  dark side.

"You learn that she's capable of great menace, some emotional cruelty, but also capable of great love, but it never really answers the question whether or not her capacity of cruelty or her capacity for love is the scarier component of her character, and I know that’s something we want to explore in the course of the series." showrunner Jonathan Lisco told reporters at Television Critics Association's winter press tour (via Deadline). "I think that’s a rather bottomless pit when you have an actress like Ellen Barkin."
