Iggy Azalea is tired of others passing judgement on her relationship. The 25-year-old rapper got candid with fans on Twitter who continue to speculate about the status of her engagement to Lakers star Nick Young.
When one fan offered to rent a moving van to get “his s**t outta there in 10 min,” the “Team” emcee replied, “lol, errrr…. nick and i are good babe.”
Another fan replied, “How tragic,” to which Azalea wrote back, “when youre grown and actually build a life with someone you might understand.”
Last week a tape was leaked of Young talking to his Lakers teammate, D’Angelo Russell, in which he seemingly admitted to cheating on his fiancée. Since then, Azalea commented briefly on the footage, tweeting, “Hmmm I see D'Angelo Russell is trending... I actually liked his film. Thanks bro."
She also walked the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards over the weekend, still sporting the engagement ring given to her by Young.
Azalea told a fan in late March: “Nothing is black and white in life. every situation is different depending on the circumstance.”
On Tuesday night, Azalea slammed a recent New York Post article, which claimed Young’s career was suffering as a result of this scandal. She tweeted, “@nypost hey, i know its a sexist world we live in and all... but how about you not blame the women for a mans self professed unfaithfulness… oh and ps. things a great at home - maybe its the MEDIA (YOU) trying to turn it into a breakup thats the real disruption for him :-).”
The Australian chart-topper also found support from longtime pal and future bridesmaid, Demi Lovato, who partied with Azalea at the iHeartRadio Awards on Sunday. Afterwards, she posted an Instagram pic with the rapper, writing, “My strong, talented, fierce friend Iggy iggzzzzz.. Had our own after party that included some much deserved fro-yo proud of you @thenewclassic I'll always be on your #TEAM!!”
