She’s the Boss! MTV announced on Wednesday that actress Melissa McCarthy will be accepting the “Comedic Genius Award” at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards.

“Honoring Melissa McCarthy with ‘MTV’s Comedic Genius Award’ is exciting on so many levels, it’s the first time this award is going to a woman which is fantastic,” said the show’s executive producer Casey Patterson in a statement. “We love Melissa for her performances but she also writes, produces and directs comedy, so this award is incredibly well deserved. The most exciting thing about Melissa is how brave she is, you don’t want to miss her moment in the show.”

The annual awards show, set to air this coming weekend, will be co-hosted by Kevin Hart and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. In fact, Hart is a past recipient of the “Comedic Genius Award” as is funnyman Will Ferrell.

It’s a big year for McCarthy with the release of her film The Boss and the highly anticipated all-female reboot of Ghostbusters. She also filmed the final season of her beloved CBS comedy Mike & Molly, for which she won an Emmy Award in 2011.

In addition to her film credits, McCarthy also gave the internet some laughs earlier this week when she performed a lip sync battle on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Her glitter-covered performance of “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas was a hot trending topic on social Tuesday.

The 2016 MTV Movie Awards will air Sunday, April 10 on MTV.
