Candis Cayne to Co-Host Lambda Legal's 2016 West Coast Liberty Awards

Transgender actress and I Am Cait co-star Candis Cayne will co-host Lambda Legal’s 2016 West Coast Liberty Awards, ET reveals exclusively.

The 44-year-old actress, who broke through as the first transgender actress to star on network television in 2007’s Dirty Sexy Money, currently has a recurring role on Elementary and co-stars on her friend Caitlyn Jenner’s E! reality show.

“This has been an active year for Lambda Legal and I am excited to have such great talent and strong LGBTQ supporters as our hosts for this year’s awards,” Lambda Legal’s Western Regional Director, Rick Davis, said in a press release.

Cayne will co-host the annual fundraising gala, held on June 2 at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons, with author and lifestyle expert Lawrence Zarian.

The actress served as a presenter at the 2013 West Coast Liberty Awards and has been a longtime spokesperson for LGBT rights. She was recognized for her advocacy with the HRC Visibility Award in 2015.

“As a proud supporter of the work that Lambda Legal has been doing on the front lines of the LGBTQ fight for equality, I am thrilled to be a part of the action and host this year’s West Coast Liberty Awards,” Cayne said.
