One size too small? Ryan Gosling may have just welcomed his second child, but the Nice Guys actor didn’t let that stop him from visiting Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night, where he had an unfortunate (or rather, extremely fortunate) wardrobe mishap.

“I have to admit something,” he told the host as soon as he sat down. “I didn’t try this suit on before I came out. And I realize that it’s so tight. It’s wildly inappropriate. I feel like I’m going steady with these pants.”

After Gosling begged the camera man to pan up and not show off his skin-tight pants, Kimmel insisted that he actually accentuate the slacks to get them better ratings. The actor then leaned over to show off his muscular thighs, much to the delight of the audience.

“I’m sorry. This is a classy joint and I just took it into the [gutter],” he said. “I can’t feel my calves.”

Gosling then offered to act out a scene from his new movie with Russell Crowe, Nice Guys, picking a woman out of the audience to play the part of Crowe. She happily accepted, despite the fact that it was her first time acting, and was even more delighted with the script called for her to straddle the sexy stud and break his arm. (Sigh, some people get all the luck.)

Though he kept most of the interview focused on his new film and friendship with Crowe, the always-private Gosling did let one sweet personal story slip.

When talking with Kimmel about their mutual friend Don Rickles, Gosling revealed, “My little girl was born and he sent me a gift certificate for Toys R Us. It said, ‘Don’t worry, you’ll get another job. Kids are expensive.’”

According to a birth certificate obtained by TMZ, Gosling and his longtime love, Eva Mendes, welcomed their second daughter, Amada, on April 29. They are also parents to Esmeralda, 19 months. The notoriously private couple kept Mendes’ second pregnancy a secret until just three weeks before she gave birth.
