After his appearance o Thursday's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 29-year-old rapper reportedly posted an Instagram pic revealing that he had shaved his beard ahead of his hosting stint on Saturday Night Live. He later deleted the photo, but not before his fans got ahold of it.
"Beard making an epic comeback in two weeks," Drake captioned the image. "Only for you @nbcSNL."
From there, the Twitterverse went wild.
"Drake cut his beard. He is no longer 'Champagne Papi.' He is now 'Four Loko Man'... Bye," one Twitter user wrote.
"Drake sans beard was the wake-up call I needed. Let me drink some lemonade, focus on my life, and achieve greatness. Amen," another tweet read.
His clean-cut look comes after it was revealed that he treated the SNL cast to a gourmet dinner prepared by celebrity chef Bobby Flay. A source tells ET that the meal included a chicken dish and tiramisu for dessert.
"Drake has really been so much fun on set," the source added. "Everyone here loves having him around. Saturday will be a great show! He's a great artist and performer."
Saturday will mark Drake's second time pulling double duty as both host and musical guest on SNL, but can he top Donald Trump's record ratings? When the presidential candidate hosted SNL, he spoofed Drake's "Hotline Bling" music video. Check it out:
