In the original post, Tyka stated that the family
wanted to conduct a funeral service on April 23, but plans were scrapped at the last minute. A private memorial service was held at Prince's Paisley Park estate
on that date instead, as Tyka noted "some friends had already flown into town."
The family handed out gifts to friends and fans in attendance last month, which included purple hat boxes full of heartfelt memorabilia. Prince's longtime friend and collaborator, Sheila E., told ET the intimate service was "somber" and "sad."
As ET previously reported, Tyka will not be attending Sunday's scheduled funeral at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
