Whitney Cummings Opens Up About Eating Disorder in New Book: 'I've Had My Hair Fall Out From Not Eating Enough

Whitney Cummings is getting candid about living “almost exclusively” on Twizzlers and soda while battling an eating disorder that caused her hair to fall out.

The revelations come in the comedian’s upcoming memoir I’m Fine… And Other Lies, to be released in fall 2017.

"It didn't occur to me that I had an eating disorder even though I almost exclusively ate sugar-free Twizzlers and Diet Sunkist," the 33-year-old actress told People of her fluctuating weight.

Last year, Cummings opened up to Today about showing off her 25-pound weight gain in a topless Instagram photo, after realizing she had become “way too skinny”.

Body issues are among several tribulations the Undateable star will discuss in her memoir.

As a comedian, actress and co-creator of CBS comedy 2 Broke Girls, the Washington D.C. native joked that she was waiting until she had “accumulated enough humiliating mistakes” before adding author to her resume.

“I've dated a gay guy, had my hair fall out from not eating enough fat, put family members in rehab, and come very close to spending my life in a Guatemalan prison,” Cummings shared.
"I feel like I finally accumulated enough embarrassments, disasters and wisdom to put a book together that can compete with reading the Internet,” she added. “And you're welcome, readers, now you can just read this book instead of f---ing up like I did.”
