If you’ve ever wondered what Harry Potter would look like two decades down the track as a married father-of-three, we’ve got our hands on the pics.
The new photos show English actor Jamie Parker as Harry Potter and Poppy Miller as Ginny Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the upcoming stage production that picks up 19 years after the final book and movie. True to form, Parker displays Harry’s trademark round spectacles and lightning bolt scar in the images.
The play is split into two parts, with previews for both kicking off next week. A world premiere will follow at the Palace Theater in London’s West End this summer.
The story will center on Harry, a now-overworked Ministry of Magic employee, as he “grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs,” while his son, Albus Severus Potter, struggles with his family legacy.
Sam Clemmett will play Albus, while Paul Thornley will portray Harry’s best friend, Ron Weasley, in the production, which is based on an original story by Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling
After the play got heat for casting a black actress, Noma Dumezweni, as Hermione, the author tweeted that “white skin was never specified” for the character.
