EXCLUSIVE: Stacey Dash Says Not Having an Abortion 'Saved' Her Life, Reveals She's Abstaining From Sex Before

The 'Clueless' star also tells ET she's staying "celibate" until marriage.

Stacey Dash tells ET's Nischelle Turner that is was divine intervention that led to her decision to have her son, Austin Williams.

The 49-year-old Clueless star -- whose book, There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative, comes out June 6 -- admitted that she considered having an abortion in her 20s, but is grateful that she didn't go through with it. "God spoke to me and God told me, 'Keep your son," Dash recalled. "And I did and he saved my life. My son saved my life. Had I not had my son, I would probably be dead right now. I know I would."

The actress said that it was the birth of her first child that gave her the strength to get out of an abusive relationship. "It took me having my son, and having something happen with my son there, for me to say, 'No. My child will not go through this,'" she explained. "My child's life was more important to me."

Dash's son is now 24 years old and an aspiring model.

As for her social life, Dash revealed that she's staying celibate for now. "I'm not having sex before marriage so, you know, I'm dating very carefully," Dash shared. "Right now, I'm dating a Marine and he's off in Iraq and I'm very proud. Very proud."

"He wants to fight for peace for the world," she gushed over her guy. "He's actively doing it and so am I."
