James Corden Raps With Lin-Manuel Miranda on 'Carpool Karaoke,' Belts Show Tunes With Other Broadway Legends

Audra McDonald's high notes in 'One Day More' explain her six Tonys.

So much musical talent in one car! With the Tony Awards set to air Sunday, host James Corden rounded up some Broadway greats for a show-stopping round of Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show.

Corden started by picking up New York native Lin-Manuel Miranda and rapping the opening number from the musical genius’ hit show Hamilton. The duo then drove around Manhattan jamming out to other songs from the record-breaking show, and Corden flawlessly tackled one of Hamilton’s most challenging raps from the song “Guns & Ships.”

The duo then picked up other Broadway stars including famed soprano Audra McDonald, Modern Family standout Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actress Jane Krakowski.

Naturally, they had to play some staples from the Great White Way, including Rent’s “Seasons of Love” and the ever-epic “One Day More” from Les Miserables. The passengers also gave Corden some advice on hosting the annual awards show.
