Simon Cowell Predicts This 'America's Got Talent' Contestant Will Be 'the Next Taylor Swift'

NBC

Meet Grace VanderWaal, the 12-year-old AGT singer who is stealing the Internet's heart.

If Simon Cowell can predict the future, Taylor Swift better watch her back.

During this week's episode of America's Got Talent, 12-year-old Grace VanderWaal received a standing ovation from all four judges after singing an original song while strumming the ukulele. Howie Mandel, who hit the highly coveted golden buzzer for Grace, called her "a living, beautiful, walking miracle."

But the highest compliment may have come from Cowell, who said, "Grace, you know what I predict for you? I think you are the next Taylor Swift."

"I still can't believe that happened last night, Thank you so much for making me feel so special," Grace tweeted after the show.

As for the T.Swift comparisons, the sixth grader told her newfound fans, "I have always loved Taylor and we always for some reason have matching hair and I felt amazing."

Grace looks to two other pop stars for musical inspiration, though: Meghan Trainor -- "SHE SLAAYYSS," Grace tweeted -- and Taylor's "Bad Blood" nemesis, Katy Perry. Awkward!

"She's always stayed the same," Grace told Rolling Stone of why she loves the "Roar" singer. "In her movie, she said that she turned down some producers just to be herself and that could've been putting her entire career in jeopardy, but she still did it. I think that's a good thing to remember."

Meanwhile, the real Taylor Swift stepped out and showed off her killer abs after splitting from boyfriend Calvin Harris. Check it out in the video below.
