Looks like the general election is well underway…

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton might have broken Twitter on Thursday, after her response to a dig from Donald Trump about President Barack Obama's endorsement of Clinton became her most retweeted tweet of all time, in addition to sparking #DeleteYourAccount as the number one trending topic in the U.S.

"Obama just endorsed Crooked Hillary. He wants four more years of Obama—but nobody else does!" Trump wrote.

Clinton replied simply: "Delete your account."

The tweet already has nearly 250,000 retweets, which for comparison, is about on par with the total response to Caitlyn Jenner’s very first tweet, which is over a year old at this point.

Of course, Trump did have a response. The presumptive Republican nominee fired back, "How long did it take your staff of 823 people to think that up--and where are your 33,000 emails that you deleted?"

The reactions on Twitter that followed Clinton's tweet were both swift and legendary, including several GIFs shared by one Twitter user that may speak for all of us.

As of yet, no response from Trump to the social media slam.

November is a long way away, but the Twitter war has clearly begun.
