"Finally saying goodbye to my Lisa Housman hair and bringing in the rest of the summer vibes tribute to @therealdebramessing who gave me this beautiful necklace as a wrap gift," Hyland wrote, revealing that her Dirty Dancing co-star, Debra Messing, inspired her new hair color.
She also gave a shoutout to her hairdresser, Nikki Lee, for "always making me feel beautiful and making my hair healthy af."

Hyland plays Lisa Houseman in the reboot of the 1987 dance flick that originally starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray. Lisa is the older sister of Gray's famous character, Frances "Baby" Houseman, who is portrayed by Abigail Breslin in the remake. Messing plays their mother, Marjorie Houseman.
Breslin talked about the roll in an interview with ET in February. "I'm really excited," she said. "I'm stoked for it."
