Social media is a gift and a curse.

Nobody is safe from “Mean Tweets.”

For the latest installment of Jimmy Kimmel Live's social media segment on Thursday, YouTube stars and other content creators read hilariously hateful comments about themselves in 140 characters or less.

The special "Creative Edition" was in honor of the VidCon conference and featured Tyler Oakley, Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart, comedy duo Smosh, The Fault in Our Stars author John Green, and more.

No matter how mean or rude the tweets, everybody was a good sport about reading them, especially Tyler. The 27-year-old YouTuber burst out laughing while reading the tweet: "Tyler Oakley is so annoying why does he think that every situation needs his s**tty input. f**k outta here h*e."

Smosh got a good laugh out of a scathing comment about their YouTube channel. "Smash is by far THE WORST YouTube channel out there," tweeted one user. "I can’t believe how damn popular they are, for being as unfunny as the are. MindBlown."

Meanwhile, Markiplier gave a thumbs up in response to this tweet: "Markiplier is the worst thing about humanity."

Mamrie offered an explanation to a tweet suggesting that she "eat a d**k." "Sorry, I had a big lunch," she replied.
