"I should be way more aware, and if it was [Hillary Clinton] or [Donald] Trump, I'd definitely vote for her," she says. "But I've never voted and I don't have any desire to."

Fans were quick to comment on her thoughts, slamming her via Twitter. "Stop perpetuating your feminist message if u can't even exercise ur right 2 vote!" one user wrote, using the hashtags "#15thamendmen" and "#counterproductive." Another weighed in, tweeting, "@meghantrainor telling @billboard that she has 'no desire' to vote is the most irresponsible thing I've heard all week. #norolemodel."

Once politics were off the table, however, Trainor was much more chatty while gushing over one of her idols, Beyoncé.

"She floats. I feel like she doesn't walk," the pop star explains. "She told me her daughter [Blue Ivy] likes my music videos. I was like, 'I'm honored!’”

Trainor also wasn't shy about talking about her love life guys, specifically what she looks for in a future boyfriend. Her requirements? He must have a job, pretend to "at least" be a fan and older.

"I tried to have a fling with a 29-year-old, and I thought that was old," she admits. "And it wasn't. It was very much like a little boy in the brain. So I'm looking [at] 35 and up."
