The former One Direction hottie loves his ink, and his latest body art is inspired by the somewhat nerdy, but totally cool, movie franchise, Star Wars.

The "Pillowtalk" singer debuted a mini lightsaber on the inside of his right middle finger on Thursday that has a pretty unique feature. When you turn off the lights, it actually glows in the dark!
“May the force be with you @zayn #uvink #starwars #jonboytattoo," tattoo artist Jon Boy wrote alongside a snap of his latest work for the British heartthrob.

Malik wasn't alone while getting his ink in New York City, hanging out with his girlfriend Gigi Hadid's brother, Anwar, and model Lukas Abbat, as he got the detailed image on his hand.
Malik has been spotted in the Big Apple a lot lately, since Hadid has been busy working in town modeling on a number of campaigns, including one for Tommy Hilfiger's new fragrance.

Last Friday, the 21-year-old supermodel posted a sweet pic of her and Malik cuddling in the city.
